NCCI demands the immediate
release of Namibian registered trucks impounded in Zambia for transporting
Makula Timber. The Zambian Government had outlawed the harvesting and transportation
of Makula Timber on Zambian roads. The Chamber urged the Zambian and the other
Governments party to the Walvis Bay – Ndola – Lubumbashi Development Corridor
Agreement, to strictly adhere to that agreement in order to ensure that the
corridor plays its rightful role in the development of trade within SADC. For
